The Accelerated Aircraft Dispatcher Certification Course at Flight Innovation, Inc. is an advanced, fast-paced program designed exclusively for aviation professionals with substantial and recent airline operational experience. This course is not an introductory pathway to dispatching, it mirrors real-world airline operational demands and prepares qualified candidates to perform at the level expected by major carriers. Because modern airline operations are complex, the expectations of today’s aircraft dispatchers at major airlines are significantly higher than in the past. Certificates alone such as private pilot, instrument, commercial, A&P, or ATC are not sufficient preparation for this accelerated program. Dispatcher responsibilities extend far beyond basic weather or flight planning; they include system-wide operational decision-making, risk assessment, disruption management, and maintaining continuous communication with flight crews, ATC, and various operational departments. To succeed in this 5-day course, students must enter with strong, recent airline experience. Without this background, it is not possible to complete the curriculum at the required pace or to meet the practical performance standards. Required Experience for Admission: • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate • Minimum two (2) years of Part 121 airline flying experience • Operational experience must be recent within the last three (3) years Roles such as general aviation pilot, airport operations, customer service, ramp, tower, load planning, or A&P, even when valuable are not sufficient by themselves to support success in this accelerated format. This program is designed to meet and exceed the expectations of major airlines. While we do not guarantee employment or airline selection, this course goes far beyond basic licensure preparation. It replicates the operational environment and decision-making standards used by today’s dispatch departments.
