Financial Hardship Withdrawal Policy

In accordance with Section 20 of the Illinois Student Debt Assistance Act (110 ILCS 66/20)

Purpose

Flight Innovation, Inc. is committed to supporting students during unforeseen life challenges. This policy outlines your right to withdraw due to physical or financial hardship, as required by Illinois law.

Eligibility

You may request a hardship withdrawal if you’re experiencing:

• A serious or chronic illness (yourself or a dependent)

• A mental health condition affecting your ability to continue

• Caregiving responsibilities for a sick family member

• Loss of housing or transportation

• Major unexpected cost-of-living increase

How to Apply

To request a hardship withdrawal:

1. Submit a Hardship Withdrawal Request Form (available by email or in person)

2. Include supporting documentation, such as:

   • Medical or mental health notes

   • Eviction or job loss notices

   • Any other proof of hardship

What Happens Next

• We review your request within 5 business days

• You’ll receive an official decision via email

• If approved, we may provide:

  • A tuition or fee adjustment

  • Debt forgiveness for outstanding tuition

  • Support for future re-enrollment
